The Joseph Swift family were friends of von Berg and assembled the material in this collection. Included are photographs and post cards of von Berg, his wife Martha, adopted son Jack Crawford, their home on East Mountain near Fayetteville, and individuals from the Sioux and Comanche tribes. Also included are post cards von Berg and his family sent to the Swifts and others in Arkansas. All post cards have messages on verso.

Otto A. Bird Correspondence with Ezra Pound
Twenty pieces of correspondence between Otto Bird and Ezra Pound, poet and literary critic, comprise the largest part of this collection. Pound's early correspondence with Bird chiefly concerns Bird's study of the medieval Italian poet Guido Cavalcanti. Later correspondence contains Pound's ideas on the philosophy of education as shaped by Dante, Milton, Aristotle, Confucius, and others, and his opinions of world literature in relation to the "Great Books" series.
